First column setting Technoform Doornik

Successful installation of the first column of the Technoform build to suit by LCV Real Estate in Doornik

Doornik, March 29, 2024 - LCV Real Estate and Technoform join forces to install the first column of a new sustainable production building "Build to Suit" in Doornik. This event took place on Friday, March 29th.

LCV Real Estate, a leading industrial real estate developer, partners with Technoform, a global leader in innovative thermal insulation solutions, to organize the installation of the first column of a sustainable production building in Doornik. This event marks a significant milestone in the project's development, aiming to create an ultramodern facility that is both environmentally responsible and economically viable.

LCV Real Estate is pleased to construct this custom project for Technoform, including a production warehouse of approximately 5,500 m² and adjacent finished offices of 1,200 m².

Drawing upon its extensive experience and expertise in producing efficient energy insulation solutions, Technoform brings valuable knowledge to this project. By closely collaborating to optimally integrate sustainable technologies and practices, LCV Real Estate and Technoform aim to create a building that not only meets the highest standards of energy efficiency but also has a positive impact on the environment and the local community. The installation of the first column, carried out on March 29th, marks the beginning of the construction phase. The event was attended by Mayor Paul Olivier Delannois, local officials, Ideta, Awex, and other stakeholders, who together celebrated the start of this project.

The factory building, to be constructed to the highest standards of energy performance and sustainability, will serve as a model for the industry's commitment to environmentally friendly development and production. With a strong emphasis on reducing ecological footprint and maximizing efficiency, the building will certainly inspire other businesses and also have a positive impact on the local economy and employment. The medium-term goal is to create one hundred jobs at this site. To sustainably meet Technoform's energy needs, the installation of solar panels is planned, allowing for the production of over 500,000 kWh of electricity per year. Additionally, water recycling will be maximized by collecting rainwater in three tanks, each with a capacity of 20,000 liters, equivalent to 12,000 toilet flushes. Outside, sustainable mobility will be promoted through the creation of permeable sidewalks and a green parking lot with grass pavers. The use of sustainable transportation will be encouraged by providing bicycle parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points. The building will be equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting with motion sensors. Finally, green spaces will be created by planting 70 trees and regional vegetation, thus promoting biodiversity.
